News in 2017
Dear INFER members,
On behalf of the INFER board, I’d like to wish you an excellent and successful year 2017. We thank you for participating in our recent INFER events. We also wish to thank the local organizers of our recent workshops and of our Annual Conference 2016 at the University Rovira i Virgili.
I would like to draw your attention to the many INFER events that will be organized this year, during which new research can be presented, discussed and new research partners be found. You find an overview of all upcoming activities here. Let me just underline that twelve special sessions will be organized during the INFER Annual Conference organized at the University of Bordeaux (June 7-9, 2017).
Besides these events, INFER offers interesting publishing opportunities. For example, a special issue in Comparative Economic Studies was published last year and several special issues (e.g. in Economic Modelling, Economic Change and Restructuring, Journal of Economic Policy Reform) are in work.
At the recent General Meeting, a part of the INFER board has been re-elected and two new members joined the board. Our team will continue to serve our network by organizing new events and offering new publication opportunities (ex. special issues in Macroeconomic Dynamics, Eastern European Economies, Review of International Business and Finance). Moreover, new research dissemination tools and a new website will be offered very soon.
In order to be part of our lively network and to benefit from reduced participation fees at the INFER events, I would like to invite you to renew your INFER membership by paying the INFER membership fee for the calendar year 2017: only 40 euro for individual members, and 400 euro for institutional members.
If you are interested in organizing a workshop at your institute, in your field, we invite you to contact the workshop committee and we will support your initiative.
More information can be found at www.infer-research.net.
I look forward to meeting you at our events.
